Stashbusting Report -- December 2014

It was a strong finish for the year but overall I brought more fabric in than I used.  Sigh.

The good news is it wasn't the worst year for bringing in fabric.  Of course, it wasn't the best for using fabric up either.  2015 may be a great year since I have at least 2 queen size quilts that just need borders before I will be ready to quilt them.  (Of course, being big quilts I really don't have backing for either of them so I will be hitting up a Super Bowl Sale to buy backing.)

Do you notice the red button to the right?  Or below:
I've started to clean up and organize my studio and I'm inviting you to join me. Every Wednesday I will post an area to do 15 minutes of clean up or organizing.  Set a timer work for just 15 minutes to get that area cleaned up.  If you can't do it in one session you'll have 7 days to get the space done.  Some weeks you might be able to get done in a day or two.  Some weeks it will take more time.  Do the areas you want to work on and skip those you don't want to do.  I hope you join me over the next couple of months and get your studio Spiffed Up!

Happy Quilting All!

  1. Not a bad year all in all. Just looking at your stash numbers, I'd say you were consistent, which isn't a bad thing either.

  2. LOL I’m going to need more than 15 minutes. I’ve got The Tramp remaking furniture for me again and the place is a shambles!! :-)

  4. My sewing room could definitely benefit from spiffing!

  5. I love how you've kept track for years. I don't have a studio per se, but one of my goals this year is to turn the formal living room into a convertible sewing room. Right now, all my sewing things are stuffed (and not neatly) into two cabinets. They'll need spiffing and then some.
