The good news is I'm back over 20 yards out for the year.  September won't be great but I have all sorts of hope that October will be great.  We'll see how it goes.

OMG!
I bet you are thinking the one monthly goal.  Nope I'm talking about this picture:
Map by National Weather Service via the Washington Post.
The good news for us is we aren't in the direct path. The bad news is our beach house is right about where the "m" in 2 p.m. Fri is.  Hopefully it will be ok.  And then the follow up bad news is:
Map from NOAA.
The beach house will be getting lots of rain.  Hopefully, here in Northern Virginia we'll get 4 to 6" range.  And, just to add a touch of irony -- I think there are something like 3 or 4 disturbances in the Atlantic ocean that may be developing into tropical storms and then hurricanes. Oops, one is actually already a hurricane. Oh boy!

I'm taking a break from OMG, the monthly goal.  I didn't make up my mind as to what to work on and the linky party closed.  Oh well.

I'm off to read and keep all my electronic devices fully charged.  Tomorrow I'll be picking up cardboard boxes that are stored in the unfinished basement and placed on something.  Just in case.

My plan is start sewing and sew as long as I can.  Then I'll start cutting projects for retreat.  Hopefully we won't lose our electricity but who knows. At least I have a plan.

Stay safe everyone who is waiting for Florence.

Happy Quilting All!  Bonnie

  3. Hi, Bonnie. You and Pat have been on my mind lately and even more so with this terrible hurricane heading your way. I hope you and your homes weather it safely, without damage.

  6. Stay safe and dry! It definitely doesn't look like a good weekend in your part of the country.
