The late version....
Have you spent your Labor Day sewing away in your studio? I'm jealous. I spent my available time today cutting out some pieces for my patriotic Saw Tooth Stars. These stars are going to be a retreat project so I'm focusing getting all pieces cut out. I have more to do but I'm making progress. I'm hoping to have at least 3 projects precut and ready to take.
Sunday we were up visiting our son and family. The guys were working on a house project while I was trying to keep the kids entertained while Aimee did mounds of laundry. Overall it was a good day to visit. Since I have no pictures from the studio to share I thought I'd share Walter and me.

Cute picture of you and Walter! I'm jealous of the quilt retreat, I hope you have lots of fun - don't worry about getting anything actually sewn (hehehe).
ReplyDeleteWalter looks like a happy guy, but maybe not a lap dog, lol! It sounds like a great idea to get all those pieces cut for your retreat project. Then you can sew, sew, sew!
ReplyDeleteLove that photo of you and Walter! Organizing your projects before retreat is smart! Have a safe and happy day!
ReplyDeletelooks like you made good progress on your list! I like to take pre-cut projects to retreat too. Happy you could visit your family and help entertain!!!
ReplyDeleteWalter sure fills up the lap doesn't he! I am pretty jealous of your upcoming retreat, I am sure you will have a wonderful time and get lots done.
ReplyDeleteLove the photo of you and Walter. Obviously, he doesn’t realize he’s not a lap dog! I’ve been cutting QOV kits for a retreat. I have four cut and packed, so I’m set to go.
ReplyDeleteReally love that picture! Walter looks like a love. You did great on your goals - looking forward to your pics.
ReplyDeleteYou are welcome to link up to To Do Tuesday - the link is on my blog. :)
Your Saw Tooth Star blocks will be a great project to take on the retreat. Walter is so cute and that is such a great photo of you both. He is a big guy. I love reading your To Do List each week. I can not tell you how much you motivate me. Thank you so much for sharing and happy quilting.
ReplyDeleteWalter is a cutie!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking up to To Do Tuesday Bonnie! :D
ReplyDeleteOur quilt retreat has been cancelled due to a forest wildfire. Praying it doesn't get out of totally out of control, but it probably won't be put out until the snow flies. Your granddog makes a LARGE lapdog, lol.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a full weekend. Walter is definitely a lap full! Hopefully you finished all the prep for your retreat and can make up some sewing time there.
