Monday Meanderings 2 - 23 - 2021

Much was done this week but most of it will be revealed fully later.  So, going straight to my goals for last week will show I was working really hard most of the week.  (In between reading weather reports and watching sleet and snowfall)

Bind T shirt quilt ☑️ done!

Finish yellow table runner ☑️ finished -- here's a peak of one of the blocks:

Quilt one of my quilts ☑️ Finished Saturday afternoon.

This top used one of my previous Rainbow Scrap Challenge blocks.

Start another scrap basket ☑️ I decide to use the RSC February color of yellow to make my next basket.  The yellow scrap bag was out anyway.

I also made several different blocks for various reasons. So a lot of personal sewing was done after I finished binding the t shirt quilt.

Next up are my goals for this week.  With so many things being close to completion or actually finished I had to figure out what UFO or new project to start.  I picked one of each.  Here's what's happening this coming week.

Bind propellor quilt

Keep making yellow fabric basket

Cut out & make more RWB Ohio Star blocks

Make blocks for the Anniversary top

Start a stripppy baby quilt

Do you spend time reading blogs from the various blog parties?  I enjoy seeing and hearing what folks are working on.  I read quite a few blogs last week and had to share a new quilter's term one blogger coined.  I loved it. QSD.  You don't know what it is?  Well, go look at Beauty's Creation. Didn't find it?  It stands for Quilter's Squirrel Disorder.  I think that is one of the cutest acronym yet.  And, oh how I empathize with it.  Hum, I wonder if the strippy baby quilt listed above might be considered part of the Squirrel Disorder?

That's it for today.  Take some time to visit all the wonderful linky parties I'm linking this post to: Oh Scrap, Monday Making, Design Wall Monday, and To Do Tuesday.  Hope you spend some enjoyable time checking out blogs across the internet.

Happy Quilting All! Bonnie

  1. LOL, I love the new acronym! I like checking out blog parties too, even when I haven't joined them. I love the yellow block you are making. The center flower makes it so cheerful.

  3. Great job on completing your goals. Sometimes I’m infected with QSD and KSD (knitting), too. Looking forward to seeing your yellow scrap basket.

  4. QSD--I think we all have it! It looks like you used Fern Gully on your quilt--your peek looks great! I'm looking forward to your strippy baby quilt.

  5. You had a very busy week, Bonnie and love that yellow block in the works. Sounds like another busy week ahead. I love reading blogs on the link party too . I wish I could comment at everyone, but they do bring a lot of joy to me as does your blog. Love the QSD too. I haven't heard of this acronym. Lol. Have a blessed week.

  6. Oh Bonnie, I have suffered from recurring QSD this year and I have two quilts to show for it already. Love the bright yellow block on your cutting table :-)

  7. You had a really productive week even with all the weather report watching. I really like the block for your table runner, that is so sunny and cute. QSD is a new acronym for me too.
