August Stashbusting Report

It's not great but at least I'm USING fabric... even though I bought way too much... remember that field trip in early August?

August Stash Report
Fabric used:  16 1/4 yards
Fabric purchased (acquired):  15 7/8th yards
Net fabric USED from stash: 3/8th yards
YEAR
Year to date fabric used: 49 yards
Year to date fabric purchased: 69 3/8 yards
Net Year to Date Acquired : 20 3/8 yards

Wow!  16+ yards used.  I think that may be an all time high for me.  I have a quilt on Ruthie now that will be finished in the next 8 days so I'll start out September with a big used number... well not too big as it is a baby quilt that Jenny and I made. But better than big purchases.

I've been a shopping fool recently.  Yesterday the targeted product was shoes for the wedding.  I had 3 pairs come in from Zappos and I got one yesterday. One of the Zappos pairs was immediately removed from consideration cause of ugliness. Here's what is still in contention:

These are the front runners although I'd prefer if they were patent leather as they would look a little dressier.  Surprisingly comfortable.

These are my favorites.  I just think they are cute.  Unfortunately they also feel the worst on my feet. But, I'll try to wear them around the house today to see if they will stretch out a bit.

And these are the ones I bought yesterday.  Yikes, they are an inch taller than the other two pairs. And my big toe is hitting the front of the shoe. Ouch. These will be returning to the store within the next month.  I don't need several new shoes.

Of course, I will be keeping the top pair because Raggs, the rascal, dragged down part of a table cloth on the dining room table where I had stacked all the shoes along with a bunch of other things.  He got the box for that pair of shoes and destroyed much of it.  Ooops. Can't send it back without original packaging.  Bad dog. He's been peeved with me recently cause I've been gone one or two days a week.

Time for me to get on with my day.  There's sewing to be done and laundry. Ugh, do I have to do laundry? (whine, whine..)

Happy Quilting All!

  3. If I were choosing, I'd choose the first ones on looks as well as comfort. On the other hand, I really like Marge's idea of flip flops as they come the closest to my real way of thinking - bare feet!
