Design Wall Monday 9-9-2013

Here's what I've been working on this past week.
I have at least two more rows to go.  Oops, that ginormous design wall isn't going to hold all the rows.  I can't complain cause it will hold all but one. I was thinking I could sew a few of the top rows together and then get enough room to see the bottom row but it dawned on me I would have to move all of the blocks... nope, probably won't do that. Don't forget to visit Judy's Patchwork Times to see what's on design walls across the internet.

Goals Week of September 2, 2013
Continue to work on Bumble Bee quilt√ quilting is started
Cut 10” squares for retreat drawing
Make more QOV blocks
Finish making Fran’s blocks & mail them off
Continue to work on shaded 9 patches
Hand quilt on 1800’s quilt probably didn’t do any of it
Finish 8 orange peel blocks

I kept on task for the most part last week.  What's up for this coming week?

Goals Week of September 9, 2013
Try to finish up quilting on Bumble Bee quilt
Make 5 of each of the QOV blocks
Finish the shaded 9 patches, start sewing them together
Sew the orange peel blocks together
Prep parts for block demo at guild
Work on X blocks as time permits

That's it for now.  I'm excited I've figured out how I want to quilt my bumble bee quilt.  Now if it just turns out as nicely in reality as it looks in my head!

Happy Quilting All!

  2. This quilt is going to be a beauty. The pattern just catches the eye and moves it all around the quilt. Looking forward to seeing the completed top.

  8. Like your other admirers, I also like your quilt. I especially like the off-center design you placed the blocks in. Your colors are wonderful too. You've inspired me to move that one up on my "to do" list.
