Small Finish

I’m trying something new tonight — writing and publishing this post from my iPad. Generally I use my laptop but thought I give this a try.   This quilt was quilted and bound in October.  I finally took the pictures this week. It’s even a different location then I’ve tried before.

This quilt is about 36” x 42”. The squares are 6”.

The quilting design is Ginger Flower by Apricot Moon. I used a white Superior So Fine thread.

The backing is from Connecting Threads.  I’ve been really pleased with the backings I’ve bought from CT recently.  I’ll probably buy more early next year so I can continue to finish my collection of tops.

That's it from me tonight.  I’m linking up with these parties.

Happy Quilting All! Bonnie

PS — I don’t like using the iPad for writing my blogs.  Next post will be from the laptop again.

  1. Pretty quilt! I’m not a fan of writing blog posts on the iPad. It can be done, but it seems to take three times as long as it does on a laptop.

  2. if I use my IPad to do a post all the photos seem to be turned upside down or side ways but they look right until I hit publish! then I have to go in on the computer and fix it all. Crazy. I like Connecting Threads wide backs too and need to start looking for sales again - another place that I just heard of today and went and looked at is Whittles from Kentucky - good sales and they have good prices on widebacks too

  3. A very bright and pretty finish! I've never tried my I-Pad for posting. Do you have a keyboard for yours?

  4. That would be a great pattern for a donation quilt, simple but very effective. Congrats on the finish.

  7. That's so pretty! I love both of those prints - they're great together. I'm glad to hear you like the CT backings - I only ordered a backing fabric from them one time several years ago, and it was an odd quality. More like home dec fabric than quilting quality. Maybe I'll try again!

  8. Ooooo I love those prints! Very pretty finish Bonnie. Like Karen I've used Whittle's before - I like their prices. Applauding your courage to post from your iPad - I don't do so well using that or my iPhone so I do it the old fashioned way - lol!
